Endless Defence Mode with a twist

I have an idea that I think would be pretty fun and add to the single player element of the game which is kinda lacking once all the goblins are defeated..

Not sure if this has been discussed or not so sorry if it has but hopefully you can read it and give it a fair chance as you think about the possibility!

you could have an endless defence mode available upon completion of the goblin campaign that can be attempted once each 24 hrs (cool down or recharge time similar to CC request) the defence mode would feature waves of NPC attackers coming after your current active layout. the attacker force would start at max lvl troops of your town hall level and could increase in difficulty and or number every minute. they would spawn randomly all around your base or in groups of 100 housing space to simulate a normal attacker.

a few additional features that make this much more fun!
    1. Loot would be awarded for surviving every minute, (like stages) the loot reward starts small and gets bigger something like 10,000xTHlvlxstagelvl for gc and elixer and 25xTHlvlxstagelvl or whatever seems fair
    2. Loot is lost in the raid the same way it would be if an equal TH player attacked you, but you can withdraw any time and walk away with your loot gained (or lost)
    3. if you lose your town hall the fight is instantly over and you get no reward and have to wait the 24 hrs to re try the event.
    4. you can deploy troops just like you would in a normal attack only they must be placed INSIDE your base influence and will act as defence as if from the clan castle, clan castle troops will act normally as they would if you were being attacked (coming from CC and not being placed by the player).

lastly you could include a leader board for the duration of attack that people have survived just like the current ladder system giving bragging rights and competitive nature to the single player mode.

WOW good idea. Impressed me, I'd like to see this in game ALOT!
but i think the troops start at max level 1 TH above yours, and every 1 minute they advance 1 level, till reach a max one. i think we can't and we don't have to lose loot to AI, since they are AI right? 10.000 Gold Price to enter this feature could be reasonable.

    Keep Clashing!

the loot loss was a thought to make it harder to abuse in a few ways.

by allowing the AI to rob you of resources it forces you to be smart about how you design your base to maximize defence capacity without sacrificing storages the way that you would in a clan war..

it also makes it so that you cant buy a shield when you have a lot of resources (say 10 days) and then just use this mode to finish off expensive upgrades without any fear of losses.

lastly it adds a kind of Deal or no deal aspect to it, the player will be watching the clock and debating if its worth it to push through to the next minute or if they should withdraw and keep the gains they already have, kind of adds another element of strategy rather than just taking max damage before withdraw.

Pretty tough. You'd have to train armies specifically for defense, and it would be really easy to defend with air troops. Nope.

im sure like in any attack there will be certain armies that are more popular than others, I think to simply say that air troops would be best is a bit of an over simplification, the spawned troops would be semi random or could be a balanced army design to include archers and dragons and hogs and wizards, each troop has a counter so yea that would be part of the strategy in defending your base, which troops do you bring and when do you deploy them?

honestly if its designed properly I dont see anyone surviving much more than 4-5 minutes but again it depends how difficulty scales and how its implemented,

    Good idea

Losing loot balances it out very well. (Maybe add a feature when they reach a certain amount of gold & elixir their troops upgrade?) nice thought!

This is pretty much a mini game, and mini games are ruled out.

not a mini game at all... this would be an extension of the campaign... NPC never attack your base after the innitial tutorial.. the game has two main components, one is attack strategy which is covered in campaign and multi player the other is base design which is only covered in multi player, by adding this in as a part of the campaign the game will get a bit more re playability for the single player component. rather than single player being offensive only.

(didnt realize single player was considered a mini game might as well remove all the goblin single player bases then?)
