I have been spending last 6 hours trying to get to Master.

Man, it's hard. Barch with no spell to master is so hard. How could people do it?

Barch has been nerfed quite a bit now, to the point of finding a new type of army. And a full clan castle helps alot.
Better to use spells to get to Masters cause the win bonus will pay for the spells costs. Heroes are much needed in attacks for TH9.
Try BAM with Goblins and Hogs, for fast cheap and almost always >50% damage (14 minute army no boost in repeat cycle)

1 barrack for all goblins
1 barracks for all archer
2 barracks for all barbs
1 dark barrack for all minion
1 dark barrack for all hogs

First pick off the outside buildings with a single archer/(minion over cannons)
(goblins used to pick off any % near defensive heroes pulling troops away from agro)
Then a full attack of Barch and Heroes and then send in the hogs
1 to 2 Heal spells for the estimated 7 hogs created which wreck entire area anywhere an inferno isn't nearby, and slowly place rest of minions for the clean up of over 50% and possibly get the Town Hall.

20k elixir army without counting spells and 500 DE army used which is always made back by the Masters win bonus.


This is for good for TH9 in Masters farming and new TH10's needing all elixir profits for upgrades.
Add the few storages and your averaging 250k gold/elixir and 1k DE profits total per attack all done in every 15 minutes and still making that DE per hour.
No boost on barracks, just on heroes and spell factory.

My background and education is in Social Anthropology. I also have some education in how the internet ties into Cultural Anthropology.

We all judge. Everyone of us. To claim that we don't or to scold others for doing so is just silly. We all have opinions on every subject whether we like to believe we do or not.

This is the first and only forum group I have ever been on and I find it incredibly sad and fascinating from an anthropological standpoint. I could write a thesis on the online culture around CoC I'm sure (and I'm sure others have or are doing so). Sorry to say, my judgement is that indeed many people who play CoC have real serious addictions. Those who can max walls, heroes, or a whole base in a year or less prove that very easily with the amount of time which must go into doing so (assuming they don't gem).

People are constantly on forums bragging about how they will play 6-16 hours per day (not just once in a while) which is just sad. The simple fact that people here on forums encourage it just goes to show the addictive mentality which engulfs many. It is a very odd culture when it comes to gaming, especially when a game is popular worldwide and there is so much ego... the ego is the most hilarious part of it all in my opinion. When it comes down to have X or Y more high lv walls/high lv heroes/WH stats etc on a mobile app game to judge others worth. Classic.

No lifing is very real. And instead of being treated like the problem it is, it is celebrated here on forums and in gaming culture. It can't end well.

I know this beats when i was gambling. Financially certainly, far less so regarding time.

Agreed. If someone chooses to squirrel themselves away and clash for 8 hours..who are they hurting? If they are neglecting somebody or something then you can be certain if not Clash then that addictive personality could be doing far more damage gambling or drinking.

Anything can be addictive..even forums...well not for me obviously..I do it out of choice..I could give up any time I wanted...right now if I wanted...well..not now....tomorrow....yeah..tomorrow.....gotta go... kids are drinking out of toilet again...guess the selfish buggers need breakfast
