Is it just me or have gem box regeneration been increased?

I was dry for a month it seemed then 3-4 days ago I got 2 boxes in 2 days back to back.

When they first came out I would get one every week or 2. I haven't had one in over a month now, and before that they seem to spawn much less often. Anyone else notice this, or am I just unlucky?

I've been averaging one per week for 2015. I screen shot it when I get one to keep track.

Weird, I haven't gotten one in over a month. And since gem boxes came out, I've only gotten 4-5..

The longest I waited was 2 weeks, but then I got 2 in 1 week after that. So in average it is basically 1 per week.

Is there a trick like the amount of obstacles you have in your base? I have a constant 0. And when one comes up I remove it.
