That's the whole point of the game
Have fun farming 8M resources for your upgrades without high level mines and pumps

The increase overall is negligible. I did upgrade my mines and collectors but they were literally the last thing I finished ( bar maxing ️walls ) . You will alywas raid more than collect, so having a builder busy for days with some
Silly little mine just never did seem like a good idea.
You're missing the entire point of this guy's post. Where do you think most of that loot that you raid comes from? The majority of the resources in the game originate from collectors. He is right in saying that if no one in the game had upgraded collectors, loot would get dry pretty fast.

Yeah, I dont get it either. Its free loot. You do nothing and you get loot. Why would you not do this?

More to the point, having upgraded collectors/mines does not mean you have to stop raiding. You get to do both raiding AND collecting.

You cannot raid while you sleep, work, drive, go to class,do some other hobby, ect... but you can still earn yourself loot with good ccollectors.
Also, everyone has a bad loot day when it seems to dry up... good for those days too!

When ever I see this issue come up im suprised how many people are against upgrading, I consider myself a decent farmer but would not want to be without my max mines/collectors.

500k a day is like two raids a day for free. Also in war and in a push there is a defensive value to collectors mines

Quoting myself from a post I made 2 weeks ago:

It has some awesome information .), by the time you reached a maxed out TH10 you will have produced 610,629,610 Gold AND Elixir, net, and 2,612,040 DE without a single boost.

I calculated this by taking the higher of total lab upgrade time and building upgrade time (accounted for in hours and adjusted for the 5 builders) at each respective TH level, backed out the upgrade time of each and every gold mine, elixir collector, or DE drill you receive from that amount, and then multiplied the result by the total daily production for their respective building levels. I think that is definitely worth the time it takes upgrading them right away.
Looking back to this and too your points regarding collectors being a huge source of farming revenue, I wanted to add some additional statistics to this. The 610,629,610 gold and elixir can be broken down by TH level as follows:

    TH1 480
    TH2 12,615
    TH3 162,115
    TH4 1,094,400
    TH5 7,200,000
    TH6 7,920,000
    TH7 49,248,000
    TH8 144,144,000
    TH9 156,240,000
    TH10 244,608,000

Assuming collectors were full when you were raiding a dead base or they were at the loot cap, 50% would be available to be looted, respectively:

    240
    6,307
    81,058
    547,200
    3,600,000
    3,960,000
    24,624,000
    72,072,000
    78,120,000
    122,304,000

DE drill lootability is as follows at a 75% availability:

    TH7 46,170
    TH8 231,660
    TH9 558,000
    TH10 1,123,200

This is all assuming each attacker is at an equal or lower TH level than the next leaving maximum amount resources lootable.

Actually at low TH levels if does mean you have to stop raiding, because your storages will be full while your builders work on pumps and mines. Although any casual player should max them asap, active players will run out of gold/elix sinks long before all the buildings are done at TH5-TH8. Thus there really isn't much point to collectors until TH9. That is if you are going for a most efficient progress type thing.

In addition, if we were talking about hypothetically boosting all gold mines and elixir pumps every day since TH1 it's a cumulative amount of 1,221,259,220, which is 43% of the cumulative amount of gold and elixir that it takes to max TH's 9 & 10 (2,833,551,450) assuming you've already maxed everything before them.

The simple answer is that I would?d rather put a builder on a defensive building then a mine. Its no real problem to get loot one raid a day covers what my mines would bring in. At th10 its different though, hard to collect 6.5 milx5 or 4 so you tend to have builders you can put on mines. I just find it faster to build that way. Why you are spending weeks upgrading pumps I am already a th lvl ahead of you easily taking your loot.

Also I think you have to realize putting the pumps to lvl7 which is only up to a 12 hour build gives me 1.6k per hour, that was half of the old max, so the total return investment you get over me is only about half. They didn't have lvl12 mines till I was already th10. That means like 1 raid a day of 100k, makes the difference up. Its really not a huge deal the only pump I recommend maxing is the de pump prior to you get to a point in the game that you have sleeping builders. Otherwise go barch a th8 for 200k and you have two days worth of difference and it only took you 20 minutes.
