    boosting is more gem-efficient
    troops finish is more time-efficient

even though I value time more, I'd still pick boosting
maxed out TH9, minus the heroes
    kinda quit, Lurker mode: on

If you boost for 2 hours it's 40 gems. If you want to gem your troops for 2 hours, it will cost way more than 40 gems.

Boost barracks: 8h worth of training time compressed down to 2h. 6h worth of traim time gained for 10 gem cost.
Gem train time: 3min costs 1 gem. 30min costs 10 gems

Since 6 hours is waaaaaaaay more than 30 mins, I'd go with boosts instead of geming train time. The latter is not worth it unless you're extremely impatient.

You'll have more raids via boosting. 'Nuff said.

I do both. But the most efficient use of gems is to boost your baracks. It will pay the highest dividends!!

Boosting is more sensible and you will get a longer benefit from it, if you gem your gems will be gone in no time.

I boost 3 barracks, 2 archer and 1 barb, I find this the most efficient. Sometimes I boost the 4th dependant on the cc requests coming in from clan mates.
