That can only be donated to a th9. This thread is about th8 (even th7) defense strategy. We have used a hound in th9 and that works great but only against air troops and we rarely get attacked that way.
No but I have posted pics that show the gobs doing their thing.Do you maybe have a replay?

Ok...if your th8 cc is designed to be hard to pull as part of a proper antihog design, then if you are dragged, the gobs might never appear until the airdefs are dead, since bk takes our perimeter?
It works for stupid clashers.
But never work for good clashers.

Stop bumping your own thread with bad advice. You claim that it's proven succesful time and time again. You also claim that your base has never been 3 starred by another th8. But, If every single th8 isn't 3 starred by another th8, you are warring very weak attackers. A good th8 dragon raider can 3 ANY th8. Same with hogs. Regardless of CC.
Any half decent dragon raider will have first checked that there are 25/25 troops in the cc when they scout and then notice that nothing came out when the dragons are in cc range. They will hold off dropping the bk anywhere that he will engage cc, or just wait until the CC is destroyed. 0 damage dealt to the dragons. You claim that this still helps because it didn't draw troops towards the TH, and that's partially true. But the dragons are likely already funneling that direction if the attacker is skilled. You also don't take into consideration the time it takes a dragon to kill CC troops. Usually one breath does it, but dragons have a slow Attack speed, so everytime you get them to pause and breath fire it helps. Consider if you had a few minions, then wizards. That's twice the dragons have to pause to deal with the nuisance. You can still have 2-5 goblins remaining in the cc and guess what? If they drop the king in the wrong spot, it's still going to pull drags away from the core.
Onto hogs, it's true that long lure times are a pain. But there's not a half decent hogger out there who's dropping ttheir hogs before they know the cc is empty. And now that all your goblins are all rushing across the map to their death, you've saved valuable seconds for the attacker. Units moving at the same speed are incredibly easy to bunch up, making them vulnerable to splash. Your 25 gobs beat an 18 archer kill ring? Cool! No one warring at a high skill level is going to use just archers for cc killing. A single wizard wrecks them. Witches wreck them. Minions wreck them. RIP your base.
As a final piece of advice, mix up your clans cc's. It's very easy to plan for when everyone has the same thing
