It sounds like you want a way to attack while still having a shield. So if I go through my defense log and do a revenge, I don't lose my normal shield but lose the "revenge" shield.

I don't see anything wrong with what's already in place. It seems like it would be more of a disadvantage to make normal attacks in fear of being revenged on while you sleep, multiple times (since your revenge shield is considerably less than the normal shield). Yes, this will bring back revenge attacks in a big way.

I foresee people getting more frustrated by revenge attacks this way (for the reason above). I would have to work around this new mechanic. For example, I would let people snipe my TH. I'll break my shield and do it again. Then I can run all my attacks through my defense log since revenging will be 75% more available (if you only get 1/4 of the total shield). This is nothing I would do now because the minimum shield is 12 hours. But if the max revenge shield is 4 hours, you bet you would get attacked more often.

Personally, I wouldn't think twice if they removed revenge altogether. I make more attacks (profit) than I lose from being attacked or revenged.

Hey edomingox, thanks for your reply.
You're right, people would probably be more frustrated by getting revenge-attacked, but I believe that a fix to revenge is necessary. Maybe my idea of keeping your Normal shield when taking revenge is a bit wrong. Or maybe my whole idea is wrong. I'm really just trying to introduce changes that would allow to take more revenges. I almost never have a chance to take revenge on any of the opponents that attack me. Sometimes ALL of them have a shield, and most of the time only 1 out of 50 doesn't. Maybe that is why Supercell makes defense logs stay more time and in a bigger number, but I, along with many other players I've seen in forums, really think this isn't an appropriate mechanism. For me revenge pretty much doesn't exist, I've only seen a few available for revenge in my clash career. For that reason I'd really like a revamp to this mechanism, and I wouldn't really care how it would be done, as long as it would make revenge easier to take, and also easier to receive.
