Our clan forbids people from using Balloonion as a war comp. 39-0-1 all-time, and well on our way to win #40.

What! Why?

Balloonion is one of the best strategies in the game i use it regularly in clan wars and pushed to over 4200 cups with it.

Admittedly it does take a bit more skill than just spamming dragons, hogs or GOWI** armies but once you have the strategy worked out its a sure fire 3 star on anything TH9 an below and a guaranteed 2 star against fully maxed TH10 bases. It is far more effective than any other strategy in the game other than lavaloonion!

how come your clan has such a negative stance towards loonion? it's a decent strategy at TH8 and an amazing strategy at TH9, less unpredictable, cheaper, and more flexible than mass drag

1.) All th7s can be 3 stared with dragons lvl2 even if you have no skill. No need to use anything else.
2.) Most th8s can still be 3 stared with dragons except those with centered lvl6 air defense but you will not get them with loons either. We do thos bases with GoWi.
3.) At th9 and above you have lavahounds and should use at least 2 of them.

Balloonian is underwhelming but useable at TH7, decent at TH8, and awesome at TH9. I saw someone say earlier thst loonian at TH9 isn't good without hounds. I ONLY use loonian nowadays, and I have yet to get less than a 2 star. Hounds make it better, but they aren't required.

Balloonion will be quite weak at th7.. But it will not be uncool at all! I used to use it when I was a townhall 7, and would occasionally even 3 star townhall 7 bases. Barch was my main strategy though!
I've used it quite often at townhall 8. Works well,but I still stick to Barch.
At th9, balloonion becomes a super strong strategy. (I've heard)

My clan has 102 wins... I dont really care to join a th8 clan, but thanks.
