how come your clan has such a negative stance towards loonion? it's a decent strategy at TH8 and an amazing strategy at TH9, less unpredictable, cheaper, and more flexible than mass dragOriginally Posted by thegajone

That's the thing; it's just "decent" at TH8. It'll get you 2 stars sure, but it's not great for 3 stars against a decent TH8 base.
It's great at TH9 with hounds added; actually our highest clan in our feeder system uses lavaloonion quite a bit. Just not loonion.
39-0-1 dude. You don't have to join if you don't want though. It's fine, I think we'll be ok.
Balloonian is much easier against a th7 asthey hAve only 2 air defence and I have seen my clan mates three starring bad layout
as wiz tower is exposed too u can't ask for anything more

I wouldn't use ballonion at TH7, for war i would use Dragons, and for farming i would use barch, it just seems inefficient for the TH level your at, for what ever you choose

Hey what level of gameplay does your clan play at? Mostly TH10/9/8/7?
My clan is TH10 majority and we all use balloons to push, and if i can effectively 2 star bases in champions league, is there much difference from 2 starring the same base in war? if you are a majority TH10 clan what armies do you guys use?

So it isn't a good comp at any level... Oh but wait. It is when you find a weak base. A little contradictory. But I guess such a sweet record allows you to be contradictory.
As with any combo, you gotta know how to use it. While I agree with you that I have frustratingly seen lots of people flub loonions in war, doesn't mean that it is completely useless.

there are better choice for th7- mass dragon lv2 can even 3 star bad designed th9 !!!!! and max th8 in war.
for farming giants archer and barabarin are better. there is no chance of balloons here.
