It's a known bug....xbows will actually work as they are set in your 1st layout slot no matter how you set them in your active layout if using the 2nd or 3rd slot

I then went on to tell the guy that raided you this, and he took advantage of it. There is a whole conspiracy against you, you should definitely be paranoid now.
There is a dedicated thread about it in the bugs forum. The xbows will behave in the same way they are set to in position 1 of the 3 saved base layouts in your village editor. To fix it go to the position 1 base and set the xbows there to ground and air. Then they will fire upwards in all your saved layouts.Does anybody know of there is a glitch on the xbows?
