Regardless of how good you think gold/lix is at th10......these two items are much easier to obtain at th9. My th9 has 145 lavas done in just under 2 months with minimal effort while my th10 has a grand total of 50 after being at this town hall for a year now. I will admit dark is much easier to get at ten but the simple fact is doing your walls as far as you can at 9 is just much more practical as far as i can see.

I'll move to TownHall 10 before I sit around for months with my lab not going. The whole idea of maxing out your town hall before you move on is cool. But if your wall decent enough just run with it. In 2-3 months thats enough time to max out 6-10 different troops. In War you can only give up 3 stars max but you can go out & get 6. So leaving my lab idle is a no go.

Worth pointing out that lava walls have a 750 million loot sticker price... So with the loot penalty thats huge considering as a th9 I raid mostly th8s for easy collector loot. Pretty sure (but not positive) that attacking 1 th lvl lower means 90% possible loot while 2 th lvls lower means 50% possible loot. That would be a 40% decrease if I upgraded to th10..... aka Id basically have to raid bases with 300 million extra in value .... Seems like that would take me longer than the 6-10 upgrades you mentioned.... which kind of seems like an unrealistically high number of upgrades considering how long lab work takes at th10.

Actually yes it is really bad. In that time you could have way stronger troops. Why would you purposely handicap your offense?

Yes maxed troops at TH10 are better but there are not "way stronger". You could check the increased dps for each troop. Many people have complained here about the increase in dps for TH10 troops not worthy of the (sometimes much) higher resources they require for the upgrade. Personally for me, other than golem, pekka and maxed Heroes, the other troops at TH9 are good enough for great or even excellent offence.

Not to mention, I have seen way more TH10 than TH9 who does not know how to use their troops properly either in war or in regular raids. Unfortunately, having maxed troops does not automatically mean one will be equipped with the skills to utilise those great troops.

I love being a th9. I am going to max everything out before i go to 10. This is actually very common amongst the top wars clans. It's because experienced and smart players know this is the best way. Why would I want to go to ten before maxed? My main concern is wars. What incentive do I have to rush to th10 before completely maxed? I get matched up with similar th9 95% of the time.
