TH8 elixir problem

I'm in the same situation as you, but I don't find it a problem. I do what some of the others have suggested; donate and play with a lot of expensive troops. I am fully maxed TH8 except for troops, which are upgrading as we speak. I will be upgrading my TH in about two weeks. Let's see your base...here is mine.

Why in God's name would you wait 2 weeks to start your TH9 upgrade? That's about the most senseless thing I've ever read.

I agree that it is an issue at TH 8. I think SC over-corrected when they made the change to only allow wall upgrades with elixir at lvl 9. It is forcing players to go to TH 9 prematurely without maxing their king and their walls. I think it's an easy fix if they just back the wall upgrades up one lvl. Then TH 8s can still farm without removing elixir from the economy.

The other option is to continue to farm for gold and DE and use high elix cost armies (balloonion, GiWiPe, wiz/healer, etc) and donate high cost troops to your clan mates.

That's just dumb as you would have to level the walls to skull walls anyway using just gold.

I don't quite understand what you are saying, but let me clarify. Supercell over corrected by only allowing players to use elixir on lego walls and above. If SC would allow elixir upgrades for the skull walls, that will help with the issue high lvl TH 8s are experiencing.

Which is a problem you created for yourself.

Guess what? You can do those last 22 walls at TH9, and use your elixir while your there too.

TH8 need to quit blaming SuperCell due to their own selfish stubbornness to move forward.

What next? TH9 will complain they can't do anything with gold or elixir because they are ONLY trying to get heroes to lv 30 at TH9?

I see you are TH9. But could your stance on this issue have anything to do with your own wall levels?

Search him on clans. Most of his walls are at TH7 level. There may be 10 walls that are are max TH8.

His gold grab numbers are lower than his elixir. He may be barching alot, instead of hitting gold storages.
