TH8 elixir problem

Over two months into th8, only archer towers and teslas to finish, all purple walls, bk at lvl 10. Research upgrades left are goblins, healers (both low priority) and pekka Lvl 3 (high priority) and all de upgrades which are next on my agenda. Collectors still at Lvl 11. GG is 95mill EE is 89mill. Have so far had no problem with elixir. I suspect I will soon while I am doing the wall grind but I have found this not confined to TH8

they are meant to be given to th9, who needs elixir more than you, so just let it go.

Yep big balance problem at TH8, elixir is almost a useless ressource, it costs like 5 times more gold than elixir to max out TH8.
Personnally I often put my Elixir storages outside with my TH. I build dragon as well when I dont farm to donate / do a dragon raid when I reconnect.

Im not a hard-core farmer. I even dont farm elixir at all. I will press skip button when I see 400K elixir but 20K gold.

your calculations are correct lets detail it.

We war once a week so I should invest 1.5M elixir for war for my attacks, donating dragons in clanmates clan, ...

I donate 10 dragons daily in average including war day. it is 360K at minimum. round it to 400K.

my FiN is above 30K.

elixir Upgrades and researches need about 500K elixir daily. I can detail it if you want to know.

It is 1.5M/7 + 400K donations + 500K for upgrades = 1.2M elixir


But I farm between 3.5-4M gold daily. I dont count my elixir farming but it will be lower because I dont focus on it.
but I will farm at least 2M elixir daily (net elixir farming exclude the army cost)

2,000,000 - 1,200,000 = 800,000 excess elixir daily.

that is the least excess elixir. I will waste more than that.

edit:
I forgot to say I put my elixir storages semi expose and do not collect any elixir from collectors.
So any attacker will get +400K elixir from me.
Th10 only can get 50% of course.

Perhaps we have some sort of misunderstanding.

If you raid three times a day with mass dragons that is about 460k x 3 = 1.38m in elixir usage would quite easily burn off that excess elixir. Problem solved?

I'm in the same situation as you, but I don't find it a problem. I do what some of the others have suggested; donate and play with a lot of expensive troops. I am fully maxed TH8 except for troops, which are upgrading as we speak. I will be upgrading my TH in about two weeks. Let's see your base...here is mine.

I dont raid with dragons and I never said I attack with them. It is time-consuming and inefficient to farm.
Mass dragons with 3 rages is the best for CW.
I farm with BAM then in the last raid just train 10 dragons so I can donate when I back. sometimes my clan dont want them so I do my first attack with mass dragons to just get rid of them!

I wasted about 200 million elixir when I farmed Legos. Deal with it.

You only have a problem because you refuse to go to TH9.

That's your problem, not a fault with SuperCells design.
