Official Support For Modified Sandbox Mode in Clan War

Idea: Similar to the modded Sandbox mode, only difference is that all the traps, hidden teslas will not be triggered in this official mode.

    Why:
    • In the ideal world, we won't have the modded sandbox mode, but it's something very tough to prevent in reality. Why not bring it to everyone, albeit a less 'explicit' version, at least it'll be a much more leveled playing field.
    • Sandbox mode is actually fun. Currently, you get 2 attacks per war, that's 2 chances to practice every 2 days at most. With sandbox mode, it's a lot of fun to just test out different attacking strategies. With traps still hidden, you don't lose the surprises in real battle.

I don't see any negative on having this gimped sandbox mode in game. It's less unfair to legit players, and extends the gameplay of each clan war tremendously. Also, a portion of the modding crowd, who are not comfortable rooting their devices to begin with, will consider ditching the mod altogether. It's a win-win.

Um no, just because some people are breaking the rules and using mod doesnt mean SC should just give it to everyone..

A sandbox mode has been proven to be a horribly exploitable idea many times over. Making it specific to clan wars would fix none of that. In my signature is a link to a thread where we tried to find programmable ways to eliminate the potential to exploit it. In the end after a lot of discussion I believe we did figure out how to create a sandbox mode that would be pretty much unexploitable.

The problem is with all of the restrictions to when and who can use it the people who want it the most don't like it anymore. So we have to ask ourselves is the effort on SC's part to implement it worthwhile if the result works, but isn't desired anymore? Most likely not.

The 'rules' is just the current state of the game. Having a sandbox mode would really get people play the game much more, and at no cost to SC in terms of server load.

Currently, if you don't raid, there's very little other stuff that you can do. 2 attacks per war is pathetic in terms of amount of game time it entails. The Sandbox mode gives an edge to players who practices more, and less advantage to the modders.

It's perfectly fine if you choose not to use it, but I don't see how it breaks the 'rules' as long as the Sandbox mode is designed in such a way that it doesn't break the current game mechanisms like the traps, clan castle troops, tesla towers, etc...

LOL, If people don't follow the rules just change the rules so that what they are doing is not longer wrong? Yeah baby. Can you write the NFL for me? I want them to lower the required air pressure in a football and make it retroactive to the start of the playoffs.

BTW - There is another suggestion to allow people to do practice attacks on opponents after the war because after the war they gain nothing over that clan from practicing. More just a self improvement opportunity. that has been the only thing I've seen go by that would not be exploitable.
