You can farm way more DE and cheaper than zapping. In C3 there are lots of drills outside and the win bonus is 100 DE. It takes 1.5hrs for the spells to cook and only 20-30 to train Barch or GiBarch. I admit that as a new TH7, with no DE drills available at the time, I tried zapping, but i quickly figured out that getting DE in C3 was much easier. And with the win bonus you had lots of gold and elixir for other upgrades. I maxed my BK, hogs, and minions at TH7 about half way through.

I do not mind if people zap me, it is part of the game, but it just goes to show how smart they really are.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Part of the game.

It annoys me. Seeing how I make heavy army compositions to just break through those heavily fortified bases.

..and someone comes in and zap zap zap 1K of that hard earned DE.

I will make a War strat, and I will smash that Revenge button until I get to destroy your base if you zap my DE.

These people usually burble on about honour and skill etc ....... they seem to beleive that it is more honourable and skillfull to raid lower Town Halls or inactives for their loot .....

Zapping is a very inefficient way of getting DE -- it takes a lot of time in the spell factory, and considerable elixir - if you are happy with that then zap on .....

(an added bonus of zapping, is that it annoys people as well --- just do a search for cry baby threads also known as Zapping threads)

Clash is a looting and raiding game - raid however you want ....
That was a good response thank you

It the "coward" way of taking de in my opinion, and that why I frown upon it. Also If your a underdeveloped or a low th, that's in gold 1 and up, and you have a lot of loot. Your in the wrong place because you just asking to get steamrolled by us.

There is a lot of debate whether or not something should be done to prevent players from zapping another persons base.

I'm in the crowd that thinks there is nothing wrong with zapping and that it is just another way to play the game using the tools that we have. I don't like taking away tools because they make the game more dynamic and fun. A tool shouldn't be removed just because someone uses them in a manor that bugs you, we are in a game where the point is to steal from each other constantly after all.

Now to talk about zapping specifically, I think anyone who does it is silly and could be putting those spells to better use raiding. I'd rather have 3 rage spells than 3 lighting spells any day of the week. I tried zapping one time when I was newer, and realized very quickly it was stupid and is just easier to farm if I raid normally with spells to help me.

I get mad sometimes at zappers, but if anything I just feel sorry for them for the wasted potential resources they could have gotten if they just played normally. Also if the loot is right I will revenge the heck out of zappers, but to be fair I revenge anyone anyway if the payoff is good.

As to the frequency of zapping, I'm a TH9 that spends most of my time these days in Crystal/Masters league and I can count on my hand the number of times I've been zapped in 2015, so personally I'm not finding it to be a real problem. I think the cheif complainers of zapping are the TH9s and Th10's that spend a lot of their time raiding in Gold league or lower. Raid there and pick on noobs if you want, but they will probably do the #1 thing that they can do to annoy you #zap.

I have no real issue with it..If I have enough for people to raid then I will quickly be able to replenish it. I did have a quick chuckle at these revenge pictures though...Talk about getting your fingers burnt!

I think etiquette and respect comes into play with some - not many but some. Out of respect if im going to get your DE it will be a full on assult. This way also shows skill that you can post to your clan mates.

What would your clan mates think if you posted a DE zap?

    Yeah good raid.
My clanmates have actually posted several DE zaps. We're 36-0-1 all-time in wars so we know how to attack.

If I'm a TH7 or early TH8 and come across a solid TH9 with 2.5k DE, why wouldn't I zap? All the "skill" in the world isn't going to help me, but I can get some pretty good DE for the price of 60k elixer plus an hour and a half of time.

I also laugh at anyone who brings up the elixer cost of 3 lightning spells. These same people probably spent millions upons millions of elixer building and upgrading their DE drills -- which by all means I think you should do, just don't bring up the cost of 3 lightning spells as a reason why you shouldn't zap. If I can get 800 DE for the price of 60k elixer, I'm going to do it.
