Why is it that I always see you saying non ruled out ideas are ruled out...

and no one reads the Ruled Out Sticky like I do I read it after reading every idea...thats between 40-50 times a day

Keep your fingers off free space, you cant deploy troops on area's thats been build on, if it happens over and over, you are doing something wrong. It happened to me only 1 time. If it happens when you push the "next" button and a troop deploys, you might need to calibrate your touchscreen.
Shut down your device and restart in "safe mode" . In the users manual of your device you can find how, or else you can find it on google, good lucj

That's actually a great idea

No its not unless you have spells or king and queen, spells can thrown anywhere and king and queen can be deployed too. If you dont have troops you need to train them to be able to search for opponents, just be carefull, dont touch free space
