Am I ready for TH9?

In my opinion, yes. TH 9 doesn't have loot problems. No point in wasting elixir that can be used to progress as a TH 9. It's been the most fun TH level for me so far, loving it!

I do not agree with u on this one, I never use or used hogs or minions, Golem upgrade is something I'm not gonna get at TH8 anyway and valkery I'm not using at all.

My BK tho, I use him every time. And its a big diffirence talent 1 or talent 2 upgrade. U feel the diffirence right away.

So no, I think ur wrong and im not gonna regret it, since I can always still get my hogs and minions to a decent level.

You say that from a TH8 perspective. Yea you never use hogs or minions at a TH8, neither did I... But you're not going to be TH8 in a couple days and your TH8 clan war attacks aren't going to work against another TH9. Those DE troops, minions if you're going for air attacks with a lavaloon strat or gols if you chose to go the gowipe route, are necessary to have decent success at TH9 in wars.

If you are going to TH9 now, you've got weeks of catch up in you lab for your de troops and you're going to want to spend de on your new queen so maybe months. If you spend those weeks now you don't need to spend them as a TH9. If you'd done it earlier, instead of dumping all of your de on your king, you could be doing a few king upgrades (and thus keeping a worker occupied) while you're doing it in parallel.

Trust me, early TH9 is hell in wars, you go from being a hero to a zero in a hurry and it takes a long time to dig yourself out back to respectability.

I couldn't agree more on u on this one. And I might stay around TH8 for a few weeks to get hogs and minions to 4. But I dont find it a prob I dumped my DE on my king. I really like the talent level 2

But, as soon as I hit TH9, I wont be dont wars, Im going to skip a few of them. To recover from the TH switch. Many clan mates did this, its NP in our clan at all

I agree with Jietoh -- for me the biggest advantage of TH9 was max loons, and you want at least level 3 minions to do a decent loonion attack at TH9. Do not underestimate how useful loonion can be -- I hardly ever used it before TH9, and now it is my go-to attack for everyday raiding. In most TH9 clans, several people will be requesting minions for their clan castle, so you will also be a better team player if you have decent minions to donate.

Good job on maxing your defenses, but I would suggest leveling up one or two more dark troops and max as many walls as you can as a TH8. (I don't buy the argument that people should only upgrade what they are using today -- of course if you don't upgrade them you are never going to use them!) As a TH9, your priority will be Archer Queen, x-bows, air defense, and teslas. You won't have much gold to pour into walls, and it will be tough to prioritize both dark troops and d.e.

As a clan leader, one thing that drives me crazy in clan wars is slightly rushed TH9s who think they can attack upgraded TH9s with under-leveled troops. Your minions, hogs, and golems will be of limited value for clan war attacks.

Not sure whats gone before me but upgrading Golems, Minions and Hogs to TH8 standard is something you could do without at TH9.

So its a no from me.

I decided, I will upgrade my Hogs to 4 and minions at least to 3 might even go for 4

In the meantime I will upgrade as many walls as I can, and after the upgrades are done. I will go to TH9

My base stats:

Cannons: level 10
Archer Towers: level 10
Tesla's: level 6
Wizard Towers: level 6
Mortars: level 6

Giant Bombs: level 3
Small Bombs: level 4
Air Bombs: level 3
Seeking air bomb: level 1

All other buildings are at their max level too for TH8

Troop Upgrades:

All elixir troops at their max level for TH8,
Dark troops I have:

Hogs: level 2
Minions: level 2
Golem and Valkery: level 1

BK is level 10

My walls are 55 level 8, all the others level 7 walls

Work on the Golem and Minion, then walls, IMO.
