Those pesky lightning spells are no match for my dark elixer!

Ok so I'm sure we've all experienced the 4-5 lightning spells right to the dark elixir storage. There is no countering this, there is nothing we can do (except buy shields). We just take it to the face and grumble. We could try to revenge but it's not worth it most of the time. We'd use too much resources to get that "satisfaction", therefor they win twice.

Now my first initial "awesome" thought was, lets make teslas absorb lightning spells! Well this is already under the topic section for things not to post about. Also this could have adverse side effects as well that'd make lightning spells useless/obsolete.

So instead my village has observed the consistent lightning spells to the dark elixir, they realized it wasn't a natural occurrence, they don't like it, they've gotten smart. THEY ADDED A LIGHTNING ROD!? Yep, that's right. A lightning rod. Right on top of the dark elixir storage. You could make it an upgrade for a price, or just add it automatically. It becomes immune to lightning spells. This way it completely eliminates the uncounterable lightning spell strikes and still makes the spell itself useful for a different purpose.

I'd love to see this in-game. In the meantime keep clashin!

PS: Irish flag please. I have the urge to rock the green-white-orange!

This has already been suggested many times... And supercell has already stated they have no plans to change this because it is not an efficient strategy

As I said, first post. I obviously didn't check the search before hand, only the what not to post sticky. So yea mistake made. I'd still like to see this quote from supercell though. Can't seem to find it on the search.

How are we unhelpful? We told you it was suggested a lot, and SC doesn't plan to fix it.
