I was thinking, there is an ice spell, why not an ice bomb or something. It could stun troops but not as long as the spell does.

Leave IFR, might be good for your health.
Should be good for war. Stun troops whilst other defences take the out..infernos taking out frozen hogs. I like it...need more details though
