Go for TH9. I'm assuming from your message that you've maxed out everything elixir-based (army camps, barracks, dark elixir drills, storages, gold mines, etc) and this isn't an issue of too-few builders (no free builders). If it's the latter and you have less than five builders, I suggest investing in those builder huts. I got all five early on and have kept them busy pretty much non-stop (now a mid-TH9 with walls being my only weakness).

If you've really maxed out all elixir-based projects, then yes, pull the trigger on TH9. It sounds like you play enough that you'll be keeping busy as a TH9 with all the new lab work and elixir based upgrades possible.

Bout the only word of warning I'd give is this: be prepared to lose out on a lot of TH7 loot once you hit TH9. You'll likely need to push up to Crystal III to find any decent loot. Allegedly Gold III through Gold I is good for raiding TH8's, but I've always had better luck up in C3-C2. Also, your storages should be full in the hours leading up to TH9 finishing so you can get those new structures going immediately (might as well use up the last few hours as a TH8 raiding those TH7's for what they've got, right?).

    Good luck!

Honestly, always having full elixir storages is just something every single TH8 goes through (you'll be happy about this once you're a TH9). I definitely wouldn't rush to TH9 purely based on this though. Stay and max out your TH8. Elixir is incredibly easy to get.

I went to th9 with pink walls, lvl5 king, only barch and ballons maxed and defenses 2 lvl below max.
Offense bests defense in the game.

Heroes at lvl 11+, all skulls and 100 legos, all defenses 1 lvl below max, splash maxed. Barch maxed, ballons maxed, minions maxed, spells, etc.

If you want to waste all that elixir, go ahead. Going to th9 ( no need to call it rushing ), is clearly superior for you. At th9, you will wreck th8s for even more loot. You need to do that queen to 30 asap. Takes over 180 days.

It's not just about what you make, but it's about what you save.

What does your base look like also? t I rather give better protection to gold at the expense of loosing elixir. You may be bleeding gold, if you give equal protection to both resources.

If I look at my defense logs, enemies penetrate the first layer and start hitting the elixir. They get pounded by mortars and wizard towers, when their farming troops get stuck on the elixir storage. They need to use all spells and heroes to get all the gold.
