i always have full elixir.. does that mean i should upgrade to th 9?

so ive been in this dilenma for long now and i thought it was time to ask the community about this.. as a th 8, i am ALWAYS sitting on top of full elixir ( 6 million).YES always. even after a lab upgrade, i try to farm gold for walls and upgrades that need gold but im always on top of full elixir without even trying to farm lix. and the inactives im finding also have lots of elixir.. and i think i couldve used all that elixir for lego walls.. so does that mean i necessarily need to go to th 9? or are all th 8 having same problem?

and btw i have not maxed my walls but all my splash are maxed and all my point defenses are 1 level below maxed th 8.

No, you should not go to TH9 until you have maxed everything in TH8 (perhaps with the exception of BK lvl 10 and Golem lvl 2). Use it as an opportunity to donate lots of troops to war cc and clanmates.

I'm in the same exact situation right now! haha Constantly I have 6 million elixir and nothing to spend it on but troops and spells because I've already completed all my TH8 Elixir upgrades. My advice is just have fun with it! You have unlimited elixir and surely more gold upgrades to complete. Make some crazy expensive army comps and go ham on peoples bases! Just get all your gold upgrades done that you can at TH8 ( including your walls ) and enjoy not having to limit how much elixir you use in your raids.

Either way is fine. I went to 9 around that time and I'm doing great. 9 is a lot of fun. That said, raiding at 8 is sooo much easier, so if you're still having fun, max whatever you can!!! It's fun being able to dump nonsensical amounts of elixir on pekkas and spells and whatever. To recap: do whatever brings you the most joy. Going to 9 isn't going to screw you. But 9 is a loooong townhall as it is, and having extra upgrades just makes it longer.

I cant believe people are asking you to waste perfectly fine elixir. If you're finding yourself with maxed storages, maxed barch and decent splash defenses, you can move up. Maxing is only applicable to newbies, if you know your way around the game, min/maxing is the way to go. By that, I mean rushing

if you think you're wasting time at TH8, then do so

but i'd recommend maxing those defenses first, walls can come later

Don't worry so much about maxing your walls at TH8. If you're wasting half or quarter of your loot, then you'll get a better yield at th9.
