Clash of clans was originally designed to be played on the iPad. That being said, you should get an iPad Air 2.
I use an iPad 4 and love it ... wouldn't play or do my wars on anything else.
Blue Stacks and Andy on PC are nice but seem glitchy ... As far as other tablets ... They are probably good too and not worth arguing over which might be better.
The plain trooth is any pad is better than using a phone! :-)
throughout my clash experience I've had ipad mini 1, ipad mini 2, ipad air 1 and iphone 5...
DO NOT go with ipad mini 1...graphics look pixelated compared to the retina version and also when watching replays @ 4x speed the game chops significantly as the processor cant keep up...ipad mini 2 and ipad air 1 feels the same but the graphics on the ipad mini 2 probably look a little better as its more ppi...ipad air gives u a lot more accuracy cuz of the screen size and watching replays and scouting villages are really great...
if u plan on doing a lot of clashing for extended hours then don't go with the white one though...the black ipads become borderless when using in an unlit room at nights...the white ones although u tend to learn to ignore it after a while it doesn't mean that it still isn't there and constantly staring at a screen at night with a somewhat "glowing" border at nights tend to give u a headache in a shorter period than u'd experience with a black ipad
hope this helps

Get the Nvidia Shield tablet. Personally using one and it's definitely the one you want if you're playing games.
can we do 2 finger drop or 4 finger drop on android, if so how?

I've been using the iPad mini for the past year, and it works fine. I would not have been able to make it to TH9 on my iPhone 5s; the screen is way too small for my fingers.
The main advantage of the iPad mini is the price (and of course the fact that it uses iOS). I got mine a year ago for $300, and since then they dropped the price to $250. I only use mine for CoC and Boom Beach, and did not want to spend any more.
One negative is that the original iPad mini does not have the retina screen, and the difference is noticeable. Colors are noticeably off -- the grass is halfway between yellow and green. And as someone noted earlier, the playback is jerky in 2x or 4x speed. These are cosmetic issues -- it works just fine for searching, attacking, base editing, and chatting.
I personally hate ipad minis. They're like ipads that aren't quite mature enough to be proper ipads.I use an ipad 2 on iOS 5 and I have no issues with it. I've had it for over 3 years now also.
