I originally had a nexus 7. Now I have a ipad mini 2. I do not recommend the nexus 7.
Nexus 7- I can boost for two hours. Battery dies shortly after. Average 2-2.5 hours of clash time before battery dies
Ipad2 mini- can boost for around 6 hours straight.
Don't cheap out on tablet, especially if you are going to use for other things (i.e I use it mainly as ebook reader besides email and CoC). It may be a bit more expensive (ipad mini 2) but it is well worth it! I got rid of the nexus 7 because it caused my electricity bill to spike up significantly since I had to play a lot with it plugged in.
Hope this helps
Also: don't buy ipad mini 3, as it has the exact same specs as the 2. Save your $$

NVIDIA Shield Tablet
So much better than iPads.
Gaming tablet hands down the Nvidia Shield Tablet.
1920x1200 16:10, out benches iPad Air on all counts with its Tegra K1 chip, dual front facing speakers, HDMI out (4k out), expandable microSD, optional dedicated WiFi controller with full in game support.
^That explains everything. Dont buy an iPad, buy whats worth your $$$.
well im not heavily in gaming on tablet except playing coc, i guess nvidia tablet is not my cup of tea.
since so many suggest ipad air, i might take a look
cant wait to clash on a bigger screen![]()
Get an ipad air. I play on an ipad air 1 and it works like a dream. The battery life is wonderful (can play 6+ hour sessions before it drains) and there has never been an issue with lag or screen delays.
It isn't as huge as a regular ipad, but isn't tiny like an ipad mini, so it's just the perfect size and weight for clashing(very light). As far as ipad air 1 vs 2? I'd go with the 1. They actually lowered the battery size on the two to make it lighter so the battery life isn't as long.
I use ipad mini 2 retina its compact but large enough and playing on it is flawless and very satisfying.
