Finish your walls, first. I went to TH10 LONG before my lvl 9's were done... and I STILL regret it. I was nailing 1-2 mil a day while TH9. Now, I'm lucky if I take away 500k as a TH10 (been through GoldIII to Master).
Max your walls & Heros... then go to 10. Don't say you weren't warned.

Yeah, actually my farming are sweet tho on this th9 and gold II. So atleast I do it all now before jumping to the last chapter of this game.Thankyou. Even tho I know the answer on my thread, I just want the advices & opinions of all players
If you want to move do it ,I moved to th10 about 10 days ago ,coming from th9 with max defenses ,half legos and lvl 10 heroes,why? Because I was getting bored and after all is a game ,I was supposed to have fun and it was not fun seeing my walls changing at a really slow pace.Since I moved I have both infernos and right now they are going to lvl2 ,new xbow,all new buildings and giants going in the lab ,thats the good news.
Bad news, barching is not cutting it for me ,I was doing looniom without spells and actually got yo masters for the first time with it( 1000 gems 😊some people do barch and take advantage of the leagus bonuses ,Ill try it again when I do my camps.

My advice is.... upgrade your walls to AT LEAST lvl 9. If I could do it all over again, i would have stayed a TH9 and went to Lavas (lvl 10 walls). They're 3mil a piece. Once you go 10, you will have a TON of things to upgrade/buy and you will soon forget about your walls and eventually wish you had finished them when you had the chance at better loot %. Sure, the 3rd xbow and Inferno's are sweet... but if you're not getting the gold to buy them/ upgrade them and you're clicking next looking for that awesome base to take... you will wish you stayed a TH9.
Don't listen to the whimpy TH9s who urge you to stay because they are too precious to give up their collector raids and bullying TH8s.
Come on up. It's not bad at all. Let them do their walls and watch flying troops ignore whilst being 3 starred. This is coming from someone with quite a few lavas already.

My advice would be to max your lab and do legos. After that if you are still having fun at TH9 I would stay. If you are getting bored then I would jump to TH10. Personally people that stay at TH9 for lavas are pretty hardcore and I applaud their decision and commitment but for the vast majority of people staying at TH9 to finish lavas is too daunting of a task.
DE is much easier to come by as a TH10 to help with hero upgrades but loot is definitely harder. In my opinion, you can definitely still do well with barch but would need to move into the C2-M3 area. The first 2 months as a TH10 are pretty rough as you adjust to the bad loot and are overwhelmed with the expensive upgrades. Once you settle in it is not too bad.
