I found also max valkyries pretty efective, but they really drain your dark elixir...
Now lvl 4 cost 160 dark, should be more like 100-120.
As the author of the handbook....
Valkyrie are a waste of time! If you face \/alhalla in clan wars, you shouldn't worry one bit. All them Valkyrie strategies won't win us the war!
*wahahhahhahahhahahhah (evil laugh)*
(see signature for \/alhalla info)
1 Valk = 1/3 PEKKA, but with AoE attack... and not weak to teslas... and faster.... how can people say they're useless. xD
Only downsides are lack of spring trap immunity and more partitioned HP pool. The latter is solved via more healing spells. The former maybe with well placed rage spell, or maybe witch's skells to trigger trap.

They are great in Clan Castles for wars. Especially vs lower level units and because air units don't pull them.
Valks are highly underrated, and max valks will wreck bases with the right setup.
I wish the valks training cost gets reduced they either need a new Lvl for th10 or a hp dump
If you clear out side buildings, be mindful of giant bombs between your deployment and the core, and have a well place jump spell, you can 2 star maxed bases very easy with Valkyries. I usually run 2 Golems, 2 Witches, 8wb, 12 Valkries rest Wizards. Break the first layer of walls with your WBs and usually a jump spell will give a clear path to the TH from there since it can generally span 2 layer of walls. Save a rage spell for when they get into the core. The base will implode in seconds and your wizards should be able to clean up the rest for at least 50%. With some luck if you bring a heal spell for after the inferno's go down, you can even keep the Valkyries from dying right after the core goes down and you can humor the possibility of a 3-star, depending.
Like any troop they take time and patience to learn. I used to hate wizards because they cost too much, take too much time to train and would die super easy in battles. Now I know that I can over-que my barracks and train wizards even when my camps are full, and that if I deploy giants or gollems ahead of my wizards they wreck (also not clumping the wizards and speading htem out is key.
With valks, that's a whole new journy, I'm going to start that once mine are leveled sufficiently. I've seen valks do some work.
