Sorry, but that is life, in the moment you buy something it is less worth. I am not in the boat with you with lvl11 walls. I am still working on lvl10 (th10 max defence, max troops, max Heros) but I also have had some losses with tesla, archer tower, barbs ... either on reduction of build time or cost.
In the end why you care it is a game, you play it to have fun. And I have had fun getting the needed resources to get my new toys. So why complaining that other may get it cheaper.

I too am working on my lvl 10 walls and do not care if others spend less to get lvl 8 and lvl 9 walls. It is what it is.
