If you don't mind sacrificing some DE, put your DE storage at the corner of the map like you'd normally do with a TH trying to get a free shield.
90% of people will attack it, take the DE and end the battle giving you the win. Just leave it out there long enough to get to masters, $50 is worth the lost DE if you ask me.
I did this and went from 2200 trophies to 2643 in two days haha. All on defense no attacking

50% barch and TH snipe until crystal 1, crystal 2 if it's taking a while to find a good base, then loonion or giants the rest of the way. Good luck with your push!
Put your gold storages out in the corner and protect your townhall. I did this at gold 1 and made it to crystal 1 in less then 48 hours and only made 4 attacks. Then use giant/healer to get the rest of the way. It didnt take long after that. This technique does not work after 1900 you have to fight to 2000 but i went with gowipe and loonian in masters and went all the way to 2700 trophies.

until M3 i can get it easy by barching with heroes. instead of zapping use heal/rage.
barching in master is pain of nexting.
lavaloons is the best way to farm/pushing in master

Well you just got yourself 50$! Theres no time limit on this... I'd barch until you start losing too much. Then go to GoWiPe. If you don't want to boost.. do atleast 3 GoWiPes a day.
When I couldn't barch anymore I turned to hogs.. a 30 gem boost got me to Masters.
