This is a great idea!

However- I disagree with the % increase for defense and damage. Sounds a lot like boom beach, and if a clan gets on a roll with a win streak- could really make an upset hard and matchmaking unbalanced.

I think this is in the new leaked update

Let's see how Supercell balanced this idea! I can't wait to see it! It looks like that they put as rewards a war loot bonus, clan badges (the ones I didn't have great idead about), and something donation related.
Ahahaha everyone wants free gems, but I am afraid that even Mastermind didn't receive any gems, and 2/4 of his ideas have been added

The strength of a clan is made by its present players, not by its past members. There will be another pressure to join clans with lots of XP, more instability for weak clans, and unfair attacks.

I had already noticed it, as I wrote in the EDIT!

Well, some of my ideas have been put into! Obviously, Supercell has made a way to make the idea balanced, and not that could affect the attack/defense gameplay (as the Health and Attack bonus do)
Of what I suggested, here it is what has been added:
- Clan Xps: earn Clan Xps (that are different from the player's Xps) through Clan Wars
- Levelling up you unlock bonuses (of the one I suggested, it has been added just the Resource one, with a small change)
- Levelling up you also unlock other badges to customize your clan badge
At least, I'm so happy that Supercell noticed my thread!

Soon this thread will fall at the bottom, and will be discussed no more, as we finally got this feature!

Yea with your idea being two weeks old, i doubt they got it from you. But its good that a new element to the game is being added, more reason to work as a clan. This'll be interesting. Im looking forward to the plus 1 level for donations.
