Dragons are dumb. You can make it harder for them.

Space between centralised ADs and the surrounding buildings, so the dragons will circle the perimeter, makes it harder for dragons to three star.

A fully compacted base is more vunerable.

So it's okay for level 1 dragons to be totally overpowered, because you think people should rush to TH8?

I'm not against rushing, but let's realize there are lots of playing styles. Some people prefer to rush from TH7 to TH9, i.e., max TH7, then spend only a few weeks at TH8. Some people rush from TH6 to TH8.

Some people might want to war at TH7, and they get bored with all dragon raids being 3 star victories with zero thought or effort, other than the effort to farm the elixir to cover the costs.

I'm all for level 2 dragons being able to flatten any TH7. But I think it would be nice if a maxed TH7 could fend off level 1 dragons, even if only barely. Do I think dragons are destroying the game? No. Do I think a re-balancing is "required". No, not "required". Just long overdue, that's all.

Are the missles well centered? what is the layout like? Other then that I guess th7 vs th7 needs a bit of more fairness with the dragons but as others said they are bad th8+++
The problem with TH7 is that 3 lightning spells can take out one AD. With only one left, placement is a non-issue. A single AD can't defend a base from 10 level 1 dragons. If you can trick the dragons into going in a ring around the AD, maybe, but if the dragons are spread out properly, at least a few of them won't get pulled into the ring. TH7 can't defend dragons. I've never seen it done. I hear people say it's possible, but I've yet to see a base layout that does it. I've taken out TH7's with good layouts without using lightning spells. Two well-place AD's still didn't stop me.

I'm against giving more aerial defense to TH7, since that would just make healers even harder to use against TH7's. I'd rather just nerf dragons directly, at least level 1 dragons.

At TH8 and up, lightning spells no longer buy you victory. The buff to the Air Defense is such that a level 5 AD takes 10 shots to down a level 1 dragon, and a level 6 AD takes 10 shots to down a level 3 dragon. That right there counters the strength of the fully upgraded dragons. Add in the third AD, a second SAM, and buffed archer towers and wizard towers, plus 2 extra storages to slow dragons down, and it's game over for the dragons.
