Recently someone introduced me to a temporary solution to fixing "broken" x-bows. I haven't heard about it anywhere online so I posted a video explaining it. Basically, what your x-bows do is based on what they are set for in the first layout in the layout editor. I am not certain yet if this holds true for the war layouts.

People are more upset with attacking those who have them set to air, but they look like they only hit the ground. Supercell may fix it with the next update.
Nice to see a solution for own use! Tho the worst part is to attack people depending on how the xbows are set and find out they actually fires the other way around!
Ps: I now get why my Xbows actually do what they are set to do
