Despite what others are saying, this is actually true. To make it work though you have to run your phone or tablet under warm (not hot, not cold) water for about 2 minutes 30 seconds. Restart the game and try then. Should work for you. I double checked after seeing this thread and it worked for me.

I actually put mine in the microwave for 30 seconds on medium (not high)...those new troops are amazing

I froze my iPad in the fridge, on the surface of the ice I can now see all the new troops! Thx supercell, icy iPads are amazing.

I've heard you have to take your device out of the case, hurl it at a wall, and you can see it in the cracks. But you are not allowed to fix it, or it will disappear.

I can confirm this method, works on samsung tablets as well!
