Where is the option for 'no nerf'?

Rather than a nerf, I prefer balancing with new, specialized troops.

The fact that most people at the top are using them means that it is OP, thus it is better for gameplay if they are nerfed down to the level of other troops or a new ground troop comes out to make ground better. It depends on if SC are happy with the amount of attack wins there are with hounds now, or want to bring that down to how it was before.
Given the amount of defence buffs recently it is more than likely that hounds will be nerfed.
Yeah lets a get another troop so people can call for a nerf on that and leave hounds alone.. lol people always going to whine. Maybe people are using them a lot because they are new and something different? People at the top have been stuck with the same troops for a long time. Just because people use them doesn't make it OP. Gowiwi/wipe is still considered to achieve 3 stars more frequently than a hound attack. Also, people at the top have lvl 40 heroes so take that into consideration. If you can't 2/3 star a base with max heroes you should probably not be playing.

I can sit and type here until my fingers fall off, and I know it will get nowhere fast. But ask around in the "clan wars" section and see if Lava Hounds are or are not OP.

And for those who say, just change your base to stop Lava Hound, please post a picture of a base in the Clan War Section and ask if it can be 3 starred with Lavalooning. Let the community over there prove my point for me.

We probably define OP very differently. Obviously skilled people are going to gravitate to the strongest troops, use them, and win. None of that means OP.

To me OP is the fact that at TH9, nothing you can do will stop a person from three staring your base with Lavaloon. You can try to arrange your base anyway you want it and you cant stop a three star. Where with Holo, GoHo, etc you can make adjustments to stop the three star.

Yes bases still got three starred, but it was with the second and third attacks on the base as they knew where the traps where and skill to make sure everything went right. With the occasional first time three star on a well thought-out well executed attack

Now I see bases getting three starred first attack and most of the time its not even close

I have to disagree with this. You can't three star just any TH9 with lavaloons. Like hogs, a tight base is easier to deal with, whereas a spread out base can be much more difficult because the balloons just can't move fast enough to do what they need to do. Saying any TH9 can be 3 starred like that is just...totally wrong. Unless you're also allowing for TH10 attackers, in which case, shame on you

Next time don't reply to me if what you say doesn't address what you responded to. And no, for th10s hounds achieve better results than gowiwi/pe. What heroes they have is completely irrelevant, especially since heroes work better with ground attacks as they can work together with the ground troops, the fact is that they pretty much unilaterally use hounds, because hounds work the best for them, regardless of base. Therefore it is not balanced and hounds will be nerfed in order to balance, what is it that you are struggling to understand?

There are many members of my clan who are TH9 and they 3 star almost every attack using Gowiwi on any TH9 base. I've also seen people use hounds and get 0 or 1 star. I think all the complainers should go try to get three 3 star war attacks in a row on maxed th9 bases before whining. I just can't believe that people are seriously complaining about hounds. Believe it or not there aren't that many troop compositions available at the moment that are viable for war. Maybe the issue is there aren't enough troops. But all this complaining is probably slowing down the process of more troops being added to the game. Let SC work on creating new troops instead of having to read this nonsense over a troop that doesn't need readjustment.

No need to nerf, just use them yourself... Have a little fun seeing how easily or not you walk through bases.......

I'D vote for no nerf, i'm still getting the hang of them.......

Have them spawn close like a Golemite so you actually have a chance to make a good defense where red bombs avoid hounds and hit balloons/minions instead.
I personally don't think there should be any nerfs...I hate nerfs. The game is about offense and not defense.

However, on the flip side, when every single person is using the same army, that leads me to believe that a nerf is definitely in order.

I believe this idea by Daz is the only thing that's really needed to nerf the hounds. It's virtually impossible to set up your base so your air bombs don't go off and get wasted.

I will say that most of the hound attacks do fail to get more than 1 star off of the base that I'm using. So you can build a defense that will work.
