His cc troops btw are 5 lvl5 archers 5 lvl6 archers rest wiz.
Usually it is better to lure on a TH9 if possible. When you're TH10 you can Freeze the CC troops and heroes which is why I don't lure anymore.

Great guide Blades! I'm pushing to Champ and using this strategy now that I've learned it here. You mentioned going with just two hounds for raiding/pushing, are you going with 30 more mins, 12 more loons, or a mix? Any change to basic strategy for this?

I haven't because the loons need the rage spells to move across base quicker cuz they are so slow.

When infernos are deeper in base you just need to be patient with the freeze spell.

Oh I know, I'm patient with the freeze's and the rage's, as even lvl 3 infernos take a while to put a hurting on loons.....it's the wiz towers.

I was just wondering if anyone's done it

Its common to see dragons in the CC in CW. Besides bringing archers whats a good way to kill dragons with this setup in a corner at TH9? Thanks for the help.

4 Freeze just wouldn't work. Loons are so slow that the rage is required o be successful.\

I usually do about 25-30 Minions and the rest Loons. The strategy is the same, I just look for bases where the AQ is down or a few AD's are out of range. I'd say 40% I get 2 stars and 60% 1 star and that's for almost maxed out TH10s. In Champion league just getting that loot bonus is a great victory!

What I do is used a few Archers spread out to keep the Dragon distracted then drop a few wizards to finish him off. Every time an Archer dies just add another Archer so your wizards stay alive. You can also use your AQ for Dragons, it's the only time it's acceptable to use a Hero for CC.

In which screnarios would you "pick off" the air defences? Ive seen people CChog+heal/Golem+King/6bal+rage one airdefence out and then proceeding to the main attack. Would you just consider a base where the air defences are on the most outer ring and easily reachable a plus factor and attack it the normal way, not bothering to pick those AD's off?

If they are really at the outermost ring probably worth it to pick off with either a golem-led attack (to kill AQ as well as one AD) or just a single hero sacrificed to kill AD (if it is AQ you might want 1 giant to tank for her).

I think when you use 5-6 hogs/loons + 1 spell to kill one AD is not particularly worth it. To be worth it, you must take down some WT/AT as well, plus lure an otherwise hard to lure cc. 1 AD alone, plus unimportant def like cannons or mortars, does not warrant 25-30 unit space in my opinion. You might as well just bring another lava hound which will easily tank that AD plus other defences AND produce 10 lava pups for clean up.

I have a question about a dragon in the enemy CC. I am attacking a base in our upcoming war and I have a sneaking suspicion there's a max drag in the cc. The cc radius reaches the edges of the base. My hounds would trigger the cc en-route to the AD thus gaining the attention of the dragon. My question is- is it safe not to lure it out and kill it? My line of thinking is my loons and minions will be right behind the hounds and the drag would get torn up by my raged minions.

My reasoning is I really don't want to sacrifice camp space and/or my AQ to kill the dragon if it can be put down with minimal loss without luring it out. At the same time, I really want to 3 star lol.

I have yet to face a drag in the cc in all my lavaloonion raids, believe it or not.
