A compromise for opt in/out (Clan war suggestion)

Sorry if this has already been suggested (I assume it has) but if opt in/out has already been dismissed, how about the ability to choose your own team size (e.g. 20v20, 25v25 etc...)

My clan has around 30 members but the problem we're facing is that the top 15 are better at war and progressing at a much faster rate than the bottom ones. It is costing us in war because our top guys are creating harder opponents but the bottom guys can't keep up and aren't strong enough to hit their weakest. We don't want to kick because we are a loyal clan and they are loyal members, they also keep the flow of donations going. Plus, new and loyal members are hard to find. It would be great if we could choose a 20v20 war instead of kicking the lowest 6-10 members.

Could this be a compromise?
