Recently I had a war attack on my base with mass drags (lol dumb dumb).
I had witches in my cc. When he dropped his BK, the skellies went running for the bk at the other side of the map.

Guess what the drags did? Chased them lol
0 stars and I laughed for a long time watching those dumb bats chase that tiny little skeleton

Very cute – but you are a TH9 and I would never mass dragon raid on a TH9 even if xbows are facing down.
    That is just ‘dumb’

It’s cute when the skellies wake up and after all foot troops are killed they just stand there while dragons/loons destroy stuff around them...

Ya even when I was a maxed th8 with 3 lvl6 ADs I would often stop 80-90% of mass dragon raids.

However, last war, we were up against a very good air raid clan. 95% of the their raids were some combination of balloons, dragons, hounds, minions. It was the first war where the enemy got a total of 9 stars in our top 5. usually out top 3 go unstarred and often untouched as well

    Nice
Good to see a nice air raid combination
I usually just take max loons with me
But a TH9 in my clan did do a dragon / loon minion raid on another TH9 who had their xbow down and got three stars – though I must say his black loons were poetry – so light and delicate – they spoke to me Hundy!
I cannot wait for my very own black loons when I get to TH9 (one day)

And his max TH9 minions were naaaasty! Seems to work okay – great distracter

I can see why your clanmate has this misconception.

Dragons attack nearest target-----> seems that dragons eliminate everything inside of rage <-----Rage amplifies damage in the circle

BUT, if there is something closer to the dragon outside of the rage spell, it will kill that outside building instead of the one inside the radius.

Thanks for your replies guys, you completely backed up my explanation to him about Dragons' behaviour and about how Rage Spells work.

    Cheers!

Over 5000 posts counted, 2+ years on the forums and such a downer of advice. You don't want to drop your rage ON the dragons, you want to drop it so they stay withing rage's radius, closer to the next buildings. IF you're unable to determine which way they will fly, just don't use drags.
Mass-drag combined with loons will also affect your rage placement, as you wish to hit both drags and loons together.

Maybe you should try and provide some arguments backing up your claims instead of spreading false statements. To say one should drop a rage ON drags is just blasphemy man.
