    TH9 in Masters League (Worth?)

Today, I finally reached Masters League by Barching as a week-old TH9 (maxed TH8), and yes, very much TH sniping was involved. However, I'm wondering if there are any other TH9s in Masters browsing the forums right now, I'd like to know how your experience have been Let me know, please!

I've been there gibarching. The loot bonus was nice, but it was taking longer and longer to find targets. Now one or other hero is always upgrading and that makes it tough to hit bigger targets, so I'm down in C2 dark farming.

When I passed through C2 to get to Masters the loot was absolute garbage for me...?

I'm in masters at the moment as a Th9, using loonion to farm DE. It's definitely worth it, and really easy to maintain trophies. And, the loot bonus pays for nearly all of my minions(50 of the 70 in my 16 loons 70 minions army), so nearly every drop of every 2k+ raid is profit.

It's nice if you don't plan to raid a lot in a day. Your typical barch army isn't going to be able to get much of any loot up there, so you need to make a more meaty army such as GiBarch or Loonion, which take longer to train and also rely on spells to get the job done. If you're like me and have several hours straight to play, it's more efficient to be in a lower league and use cheaper army

I was there, in fact I barched all the way up to 2820 trophies. I was and still am th9.

    What I found was

    1. Barching is possible with lightning spells and an Archer Queen. You can get the loot bonus plus whatever you can reach in collectors/storages.

    2. Because the loot bonus is so high, you only need to aim for bases with 100+ within reach.

    3. This doesn't all need to come from collectors. Sometimes you'll find bases with a little in collectors and a little in storages within reach of your barch.

    4. You MUST pick the right bases to get that 50% bonus. Ash's journey to level 40 heroes thread has some good advice about the kind of base to pick. The arching thread by Thegreatlach also has some very good advice. I found that you usually need to kill a couple of defences to get that 50%. A th10 with low level defences is usually easier to barch than a th9 with high level defences, even if the th10 has more buildings.

    5. Occasionally you will find dead bases that add significantly to your resources farmed/hour.

    6. Townhalls are part of the farming. Sometimes you will find a th snipe which will also add significantly to your resources farmed/hour. Sometimes you can use your archer queen and relatively few troops to take down a partially protected th for the bonus.

    7. The problem is, once you get past 2700 you have to next past quite a lot of bases that are too hard for you. Even if you find one with lots of loot you may not be able to 50% it for the bonus. That pulls your resources farmed/hour down.

    8. I think all in I was making maybe 600K of gold and 600K of elixir every hour. That's gross, that doesn't count the elixir I had to spend on armies and lightning spells. Nor does it count the (significant) amount I had to spend on nexting. Overall, I have found I make more gold and elixir barching in crystal with less stress. However, I made much, much, much more de in master, especially M2 with the 700 de win bonus. A 50% win plus 300 de from the base gives you 1,000. 300de is so easy to get you can even get it from the drills by accident on your way to 50%.

Finally, I can imagine it would be much easier as a th10 because of the extra camp space and troop levels. I would think 240 troops would allow you to barch more bases and even allow you to 50% some without the AQ.

If your a near maxed th9 you can easily get to c1 and maybe m3 on defence. My base is maxed except for AT's and I generally don't start losing defences until about 2550. It's way easier to get there on defence than by pushing.
