    My two cents...

The system knows when your on already. No new code needed there. Since you cannot attack while someone is online...

Makes it easier to admin clans. Since there isn't a good interface on here.

Make it snazzy and simple. Like a light on your TH or CC. Or a flag raised or lowered. Put it on the game board and you don't have to change the facade.

Fricking privacy problem... this is a problem that has been on every console made in the last 15 years, 99% of all multiplayer games in general.

How can half of the people say that "it's a privacy problem" and the other half say "you don't need it cause you can already figure it out". If people can figure it out, why is isn't it a privacy problem now? If it isn't a privacy problem, then why not implement a simple way to let people know. I got in this "discussion" earlier, and there are NO good reasons why this shouldn't be implemented. Every example is one of either a terribly run clan and it causing turmoil, or of trolls within clans demanding things because someone is online, or people trying to dodge clan rules (that they chose to be in, and chose to stay in) but not wanting them to know they are online.

To the OP, because you can guess something based on evidence is absolutely not a reason to not make it easier. I can tell about what time it is based on the sun, does that mean clocks and watches shouldn't have been invented? This is such a stupid argument, it's implementation will change NOTHING in the game, ♥♥♥♥ty clans will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, ♥♥♥♥ty leaders will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, ♥♥♥♥ty clan members will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, all with or without the change. Good clans can benefit from it to type something to someone when they are on, give suggestions request specific war troops to start cooking etc.

Doesn't matter. SC has ruled it out. That is the only thing that does matter.

Customizable Clan Flags are still ruled out, weird...

I like how it opens people to "Abuse". Abuse in a game where there is the global chat function. "But they are talking about abuse from their clan." Well if you are in a clan where they are demanding you gem a dragon or get booted, is that a clan you want to be in? Can't someone use the "simple" way the OP suggested to see if you are online and do the same thing? Can't they do it after a post on the clan chat? After a troop request?

The arguments people are using against this are things that are ALREADY going on in the game, without an online indicator.

What are the benefits? Like I had said before, a NORMAL clan can use it to talk to someone they know is online, and know they person will see it before other people bury it. They can discuss war strategy (who they are going to attack). Someone can see one of the better players is online and say, "Hey ____, I'm going Lalooning, can you start cooking me a lava hound"

The privacy issue... there is no way to private message people, to send them mail individually, to search them, to do anything individually.

Ruled out doesn't mean anything, hence the customizable clan flags (currently live) is listed as ruled out.
