Why are people afraid to upgrade to th 10?

Well, apparently there's a lot of loot problems in th10

Apparantly there are loot problems in th 8 and 9 as well. Might as well stay at th 7 then

I'm currently maxed on defenses at th9 but I'm Doing my heroes to 15 before th10, and whilst doing that I'm doing lvl9 walls. My reasoning being I want my heroes to be High enough to be able to hit th10s for 2 in war and not be a hopeless th10 who struggle to get 2 on a max th9... Which I've seen a lot!

The point about doing 240 walls - if you leave a stretch at lower level the attacker will just hit there, that's why you do all of them

I would suggest you get lvl 20 heroes before th 10. I'm not telling you to upgrade to th 10 prematurely. I'd say lvl 20 heroes, max th 9 defenses, troops and spells and lvl 8 walls is a good time to go up. Dont you think it's more efficient to get all max th 10 defenses which cost less than the cost of 250 Lego walls but defends better than a fully maxed th 9?

While making countless other th 9s, who upgraded to th 10 before getting the lavas that you currently are, much stronger than you are lol.

Read the thread at first lol. And loot penalty doesnt drastically change your chances of getting loot. It's the same difference as you you had in loot from th 8 to 9. Loot penalty just means you cant get good loot from th 7 and below but there are way more th 8-9 these days than you might think.

Getting loot from TH8s at TH10? That's a good one. The loot penalty is 50% so those juicy 250 collector raids now get you 125k, and on bad loot days you go for it with a smile.

If you want to get full lavas get them at TH9 or forget about them. 3m at TH9 (most of which would come from collector raids) is the equivalent of 4M at TH10 (most of which comes from storage raids). Yes, its possible to make a lot of gold at TH10 and there are very good loot days as well, but its a lot easier to get lavas at TH9.

Lava walls cost 3m, they are obviously not for casual players who want to log in once every other hour to grab some loot with their loonian army, if you are a casual player you should absolutely upgrade to TH10 as soon as your defenses are maxed.

Fast forward a few months, both bases are maxed, the early TH10 has full skulls and some lego walls, the other TH9 has full lavas and working on zaps.

Doesn't drastically change chances.... but if you settle for lvl 8 walls and go to th10, thats a billion loot to get lvl 10 walls..... aka you have to raid 100 million more to get max walls. Point being, it doesnt noticeably change loot day to day, but if you ever aspire to be a max th10 (which im sure most people do after they max defenses) then you are shooting yourself in the foot because loot costs get insane.... early th10 means a substantial overall time penalty to ma

My reason for doing my lavas before going to th10 is I feel it keeps me interested in the game. I just feel that if i were to jump to th10 now and max defenses heros and troops the interest in the game would go down for me and my daily activity would diminish as there is nothing to work up to (no th11 as of right now) cause i would be doing nothing but walls. And as mundane as it is doing them now keeps me playing for that much longer.

I have been at TH 10 for well over a year now and find that high level walls do help to a certain extent but having the best defenses is much more important once those wall are broken through or jumped over. So I would say upgrade to TH 10 and go for the best defenses you can get. Considering that I lose most of my defenses in the champions league the occasional defense that I do win is do mostly to my maxed defenses not my lava walls.

Anyways I think that the high upgrade cost and the time needed to gather enough loot for those expensive upgrades are the biggest hurdles at TH 10. Loot penalties don't help either but if you are willing to invest the time for raiding, farming at TH 10 is not all that bad. The higher your loot expectations are the more disappointed you will be IMO so no point in complaining about bad loot. Investing time are the key words here.

I'm currently maxed TH9 apart from walls and heroes... Getting close though (check my sig.)

I think I'll probably make the move once both my heroes are lvl 25. I did wanna fully max everything but waiting a few days to just upgrade a couple of walls is getting a bit tedious. I do think that heroes are worth doing without the loot penalty though. And the ability boost at lvl 25 is what I'm hanging out for.

Lastly, whats wrong with people maxing at hey TH level??? this game is to be played at whatever pace you want to play it at. Saying that you can farm more than 3 mil a day doesn't tell me that you're a great clasher, It tells me that you don't do much apart from clashing... For someone like myself who, when compared to most people on the forums only raids a small amount it's better to get as far as i can before the loot penalty kicks in.
