Even without spells you can core a base with decent de with 10 lv3 drags.
totally agree, my maxxed th8 account now has something to spend all that elixer on. and its so quick. yay. will get those last 20 walls to lvl8 real quick.
Would rather spend it on walls, but free dragons for all. -_-

It's like a direct response to our complaints of too much elixir since the wall change. Now it should be easy to burn up our elixir and convert to gold for those expensive skull walls. Seems like supercell is taking notice. This is a week long bandaid, though, maybe a more permanent change coming after the event is over? Re-balancing the economy re-balancing.

It's definitely tailored for TH8s (and I guess TH7s too). Any TH8s with excess elixir not moving on to TH9 early should take advantage of the DE farming opportunity they have here.
8 dragons, 40 barbs, boost spell factory with rage spells. You can delegate 2 dragons and 10 barbs into each barrack. You'll be able to get in 4 raids an hour. Get up to mid/low Crystal leagues and start hunting for bases with at least 1.5k DE in storages. Bonus if they also have stocked gold/elixir storages, but focus on the 1.5k DE threshold: don't commit to a 250k/250k/300 base as your army/rage spell alone is running you about 275k elixir.
Looks like Th8 get the most out of it, so far.
I've been attacked twice by mass drags, 1 fail, 1 got TH, but both fail on DE....
Biggest problem as TH9 in C1, is nearly every base now has a dragon in cc ......so, dropped zaps, extra heal...... (not much of a problem, realy)
Dont use dragons much myself, have donated more to th7 and 8 clannies since time decrease....
perhaps elixir will drop in TH8 bases for a while, but dont see a lot up in c1 anyway, mostly th9 and 10...
