You offer no information on yourself, we cannot judge your best area without it. Anyways, there really is no gold anywhere.
Maxed out - base and boredom.
Go to silver 1 or gold 3...ish. I tend to find a lot in that range.
TH level? Troop level? Anything?

It seems that after the break the loot is shielded (I don't think it's gone). I would wait 1-2 days for it to go back to normality.
Now, if you are farming in the wrong league there isn't much you can do but move to the right one

Okay I'm town hall 8 all my regular troops are max for that. Still working on dark troops
Does this mean that you are full of elixir?
If so, can you please tell me how and where you are finding elixir?
I have been trying to save for these level 3 pekka to no avail.
