I don't know what you're complaining about. Faster barbs means even faster barch raids, which gets you a ton more loot. The faster dragon training times is great as well. I've burned 4 mil of unused elixir in two hours, while gaining 3 mil gold, 18k de and around 150 trophies. I don't see any negative effects, apart from being raided with a full drag army when you're upgrading AD's.
Here's what I've just said to the other guy:
One Little Example in case you don't get it.
Initially, you have 120 archers and 80 barbs. You used half of each in a battle. So you are now left with 60 archers and 40 barbs.
Meanwhile, your barracks are training troops while you are attacking. So when you get back to your village, you will see 120 barbs (40 initially + 20 x 4 barracks) but only 80 archers.
Gradually, you will have less archers and more barbs....

That my friend is called adapting, and yes I feel like TH9 players who start to get their DE storage hit hard by dragons will begin looking into making DE troops a regular part of their farming armies, at least during this event.
It's just poetic justice to all those TH9s who told TH8s that they didn't need elixir for walls, that they had tons of other uses for it, while knowing full well that it wasn't time efficient/logical to use those expensive troops. Those TH9s handing out life lessons to TH8s failed to see that the revert still continues to hurt the economy for TH10s. Well now TH9s are gonna feel a bit of pain, at least on defense.
This event is pretty bad. Ya it's cool you get quicker cook times, but it's pretty much useless with the elixir cost involved... Who makes 360k every raid at TH8. lol
I want to buy you a beer. Cheers.
Queue all 4 barracks to making archers when you go out and raid, then just switch them to barbs when you get back to get the ratios to where you want them. Or use more barbs in tanking for your archers. This all comes down to simply adapting to new build time ratios.
So you're saying that you have 20 barbs cooking in each barrack while you raid, and I guess normally you can come back and stop them and switch to archers to get the ratios back. Well now they are built in 4 seconds, so queue your longer cooking troops (archers) first, and then when you get back from your raid, make up the difference that you want in barbs.
This is such a non-issue. Were you expecting to barch more frequently with this event, while somehow keeping your farming ratios exactly the same and not changing anything from how you used to do it? Well clearly that was never going to be the case, as that's not how math works. Just adapt, and then thrive off the faster frequency of your same barching ratios.
This guy had a solid TH8 DE farming strategy back in the day (you can sub minions with archers, or in this case due to the event, barbarians)

8 dragons, 40 barbs. Boost your spell factory and cook rages. That is just under a 250k army, and ~270k with a rage spell each attack. You can raid every 15 minutes.
This isn't designed to earn you elixir (it's incredibly elixir-negative), but instead allows TH8s to sacrifice their elixir (which is typically overflowing and unneeded) to earn DE at an insane rate, as well as w/e gold loots come along with those high DE bases. You head up to Crystal 2 as a TH8 and start hitting any base that has 2k+ DE. (1.5k is fine if it has 200k+ in gold/elixir, but keep in mind you're trying to quickly acquire DE, this is not efficient for gold and that 300-400k 4-storage elixir base is misleading as you have to understand your army ran you 250k)

Last night i did a bunch of Dragion attacks, 12 minutes between raids starting when the camps were full. At TH8 i have tons of elixir just sitting so i gave it a shot. Got lots of gold and DE, lost 2M in elixir but it was fun. Switched back to Barch.
I run 40 barbs in one camp, then archers on top of that, then run all archers in the other camps. Works out good, just make sure to add your 40 barbs first before attacking.
