    Why is this so hard?!

We have 6 really loyal and active people and we'd like to build a clan of about 30+ eventually. I've checked global, replied to posts on this forum but we're still sitting with the same 6 people.

One time we got a few members and tried to have a couple wars but during wars, people left.

There's gotta be lots of people wanting to be in a startup clan who has friendly adults, serious about war, donate to fill requests, good leader who acctually leads and we give elder/co when it is earned.

I noticed that most people want an established clan who has war wins, plenty of good clashers, etc. How long does it take to build a clan? Any suggestions how we can get loyal members? Any experienced players out there who can tell me how you got 20-40 members. Right now it seems impossible!

    I know right?

I am in the same boat, so I totally understand. Just have to keep working at it I guess, and be patient. I started 2 days ago and am up to 9. I understand most people don't want to merge but if it's an option, message me. Here is the recruitment post I put out there.

NEW CLAN - Get in on the ground floor!

Most detailed clan info can be found at http://coc-assimilated.wikia.com/

The link above spells out our clan philosophy, leadership structure, war strategy, and various other expectations. Our goal is to create a great COC Clan Experience.

This is a new clan started by some relatively experienced players. Starting a new clan is difficult and maintaining a healthy one even more difficult. We are looking for people who take the game seriously (but not too seriously) and would like to be part of building a great clan. There are tons of clans to choose from and it's not for everybody.

    WHO this clan is FOR

New clashers wanting to learn the ropes
Those who enjoy clan wars a couple times a week.
Players who have experienced poor leadership and lots of drama in previous clans. (Our leaders are here to serve and lead by example).
Someone who will help recruit loyal members
Willing to wait just a little while for wars to begin as we build a solid base.
People who want a clan where disrespect and foul language are not tolerated.

WHO this clan is NOT FOR

    Clan Hoppers
WAR WAR WAR all the time WAR
    High maintenance clashers
Players who need/demand highest level troops (although I have all troops unlocked)
Players who want leadership status without earning it through loyalty and war performance
Players who do not have patience for Noobs (for a lack of a better term)

    JOIN
As we start up anyone can join. As we grow, we will move to Invite only and find the right mix from there. Just search for clan name "ASSIMILATED" (Quotation marks required) or clan hashtag #2YY02U94

    Thanks for your consideration.

We've had very nice clans try to recruit all of us but our leader is very patient and wants us to wait and build. This does make sense since we are TH 8's and need to keep upgrading our stuff. I guess I need to chill and just upgrade to TH 9.

Another new clan in the same boat

    Hey CarolC,

It's probably so hard because our standards are so high; we've seen what we can do in a quality fighting team. New clans with experienced leaders want quality members, but quality members want big, established clans.

We all think we have the vision to lead our own clans. But we envision our future clan, instead of the one we need to be building. It's easy to build an army of terra cotta warriors if you already have the warriors. But can we do it from clay? That remains to be seen.

Wise Paladins is trying to do just that.

Best of luck in your efforts. If I give up leadership first, I will be back here looking to merge. If any of you give up first, we'll happily have you join us.

    Same here

My clan started 2 weeks ago and people join and left. I have 6 loyal members who have stuck by me and every time we are close to getting 10 people people start leaving. I came to the forums to find people but no one wants to join.

    honestly man, it's persistence.
I'm the leader of "Casual Gaming!" and the leader of "Casualty Gaming"

It takes time to fill the clans. Post a lot on the forums... Check out my official clan post and try to make yours similar and make it look clean.

Always try to bump you're thread and also, invite any members in your trophy range who are clan less to the clan.

It took me about 3 months to fill casual gaming! And we were full for so long we made the other clan.

Right now out of the 49 people in CG!, about 40 have been there for close to a year. We have a great group. It has takes a lot of time and patience. You'll get there bro. No worries.

    Best of luck.

Thanks everyone for the good advice, encouragement, and letting me know I'm not alone!

If if we do give up at some point, I'll let you all know and check ya out.

Too bad those who start clans want to keep their own and lead. Seems like mergers would work well but my leader feels the same about waiting to fill his clan. Several of us are related so most are not going anywhere without the others.

My my leader might relent in the next couple months if we upgrade to TH 9's and still sitting with the same 6.

We Did get a 7th to join yesterday but turns out he was an 11 y.o. Dang! We'd like to keep it adults.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the response.
