What do I look for in a clan?

I just got my first invitation to join a clan. How do I research this, and what do I look for in a clan? Also, can I just copy my village to the War Base?

Depends what you want from the game and yes

Number of members?
How often they war?
If the clan is well organised?
Are there any rules you cannot abide by,level 200+ etc..
Donates requirement? (If needed)
Do they kick\shelter inactives?
How strong the clan is (if applicable)
If they donate the troops you need\want
If it is a farming or trophy clan?
Active clan chat?

That's all I can think of for now

Yes you can just copy your normal base into war base using the village editor tool.

I'm going to guess you are a fairly low level which can restict the clans available to you but when looking for clans:
-The forum on here is good since you can get a bit more information about the clan
-In game look for lots of donations by everyone which shows they are active, look for the war frequency you want, look for a clan description that sounds good to you
-It is hard to sort out clans in game so you might need to try a number out

You get to meet people, share ideas and experiences. Help members grow and receive advice on how to improve your game play too.

Take your time – meet a few different clans and people, when you find one that fits in terms of rules / culture / time zone and support you stay.
And you will find that over time your needs will change therefore you may either suggest changes to your current clan or bid them farewell and move onto to find another experience elsewhere.
Remember it is your choice where you go and how you play, but most importantly who are you playing with should help you have fun and grow.

I pay more attention to how active a clan is. I like to have a couple people in my timezone so I can chat with them, instead of being lonely.
