Depends on what is you end goal in playing clash.
Max defense? Max heroes? Max walls?
Push to champs? Push to 4k? Reach your local leaderboard?
I think for many of us, clan wars is the reason why many of us is still loving this game..

Xbows have been broken for a month, maybe longer. Inferno continues to be OP. Clan wars matchmaking is still garbage (been close to a year).

So has it peaked? Difficult to answer because even though they may have peaked idea wise, we wouldn't know or see the effects of this for a while as it would need to trickle down to all the millions of users not th9 or 10 who make up the majority of players. So while they very well may be scrambling for fresh ideas....they have bought themselves quite a bit of time to come up with something. For example, in the time it took them to fix hogs....they have added millions of players most of which probably have yet to train a hog, therefore never will know there even was an issue with them in the first place.

The real question is what are they going to do about all the problems facing them right now in the next 2 or so years. Thats really what is going to decide their fate. They can't afford to continue to face problems like the xbow the way they are (going on 2 months broken) if 90% of the COC population is attacking bases with xbows.

    Hope that helps.
I feel like such a noob for asking, but how are xbows broken?

Games like Clash are a journey and they take an exceedingly long time to get deep into or reach your end game goals.

Therefore I'd say the question is better as "Has Clash of Clans peaked for You?

I started back in March 2013 and played heavily until July 2014 (where I was maxed on everything except walls). Believe it or not but I've not attacked in Clash since then. I do still open the game, empty my mines and keep things upgrading.

The fact that I can maintain my upgrades for the last 6 months based purely on emptying mines and not attacked shows me that the game has well and truly peaked for me.

There is enough content in Clash and it wouldn't surprise me if there is only a bare bones team of people maintaining it while the majority have moved over to new projects.

Compared to newer games coming out now Clash is starting to look heavily dated, but to be fair it's always been the most stable and supports a lot of very old devices.

Clash is still the best game I have ever played or enjoyed.

Clash has peaked for me, but not in general imo.

I started back in mid/late 2012 so it is not super exciting for me anymore. Farming is boring, pushing is pointless but at least war is fun most of the time. Without the social aspect (being with most of my clan mates for 1-2 years) and war I would have uninstalled ages ago.

Multiplayer based games are a beauty as in they will never die as long as players and the developer keep at it. Thats whats going on with tf2. What supercell did is brought clash to a abrupt stop.
Like how I'd said with Call of Duty, it probably isn't reasonable to make direct comparisons in longevity between clash and pc/console multiplayers. I put a hell of a lot more hours into Counter-Strike than I have done clash, but playing a multiplayers fps could be likened to a game of football. Once the basic rules and set-up are well devised, each game is then unique and offers a fresh challenge due to the combination of players and the joy of getting one over your opposition.

Clash is indeed a multiplayer, but it doesn't offer much variation and doesn't offer that much scope for pitting skill vs skill. You can only play so many raids and a bit of chat before you have pretty much seen every base layout, know almost exactly how bases are going to react to your attack and what tricks/traps/funnelling you'll be subjected to. There is no real-time fun of "him vs me"

Just FYI I have just ordered the latest CoD. My first one since I started playing Clash. Clash is already second fiddle on my iPad to Boom Beach, it is probably about to get knocked into third for my attentions.
