when everthing that could possibly go wrong doesn't and an unsure two-star turns into a very rewarding three-star

Winning a close won war. It generally means that the clan have pulled together as a team. That and people have lured the CC.... remembered to train spells ... taken their [full] CC with them and attacked the base they discussed prior to attacking.

For me, it was the discovery of the game itself (downloading it), which has brought many a great gaming memory. The good, the bad, the noobs and the vets.

Loved every minute, and none would ever have happened if I had not downloaded.

I voted for winning a tough war.

But the answer is "meeting a person on global who you actually end up glad is in your clan". Gratitude for finding the proverbial needle in the haystack. We have several (not many, we began as friends and family only and our leader still knows 75% of us IRL) and every time I get on global, I find myself grateful that we don't have growth as a goal. And grateful for the ones where we got lucky.
If you need to ask "Should I upgrade my Townhall?", the answer is no.

Our undefeated main war clan started a feeder with our 2nd accounts being incharge. Rest was full of hoppers. When the first war in the feeder started 2 days back, we were busy experimenting to see if we could perfect star the war in the main clan since we had not got a challenge of late. So we lagged 14-32 in the feeder with more attacks from our side(mostly hopper attacks). Then an influx of clanmates from the opposite clan came to our clan swearing at us, calling us losers and making fun of us and all. For fun, I told them we would get 33 stars exact and win. They laughed more. We decided to not let them get away with it, coordinated like how we do in the main clan, and defeated them 58-47(out of total 60 stars). And to our surprise, some of those same clanmates including the leader came back and said sorry, congratulated us on the victory, and asked if they join our clan forawhile. I declined because we are an adult-only clan, and gave them some tips instead on how they could have pulled off better. We parted as friends.

    It felt so good.

For me, no doubt that it's 3 starring a base at my level or higher in a war. As a maxed TH10, I miss that since I'm now just busy 2 starring other maxed bases. That doesn't feel as good - ever - so I took over my son's TH9 account and I'm happy wrecking TH9s above my level once again.....love a good GoHo or HoLo. Those are beautiful to watch.
