Statement Of Purpose
Wise Paladins are a clan focused on community above all. Our wish is to foster an empathic group of players who want to have fun. Our clan is interested in teaching and learning strategy, and perfecting our skills in clan wars, all in a friendly environment.
We are crafting an environment that is welcoming to the vast array of people along the spectrum of humanity. Our community embraces an ethos of civility and empathy towards all players of the game, even opponents. We strive to dissipate the noise of misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, and other social prejudices that get in the way of a pleasant gaming experience. We want to enrich our clan community with our own personalities and styles, and feel a sense of acceptance in sharing. We believe that by placing our fellow players' humanity first, both our enjoyment and performance in the game are improved.
We also want members who enjoy studying the game mechanics, base designs, and attack strategy. We war weekly (at a consistent time) and participation is mandatory, but it is also a pleasure, as that's why we are here. Discussion of tactics and evidence-based approaches to understanding our notions of the game are encouraged. We do not find value in negatively judging our fellow members for their stage in the learning process, or for the very human nature to make mistakes. Learning is best in a positive environment, and even when a lesson is tough, the game should still be about fun.
Since clan war is our focus, and pairing is specifically designed for your collective level, we do not have base or troop level requirements, nor do we intend to pressure players to increase their levels. There is wisdom to be learned at every level of the game. We are also not interested in your current skill level, but rather in your desire to learn and perfect gaming skills.
As we grow, we will continue to develop our purpose. Perhaps you'll join us in this process.
