This sounds like a great idea...as you can see from the late nature of my reply, I am one of those players clapping encouragement from the back row. Although I am a willing participant my gaming is unpredictable and unfortunately not regular enough to be a platoon leader. I would however remain grateful for the active interest and involvement from the core members of the clan.

I know I am going to sound like a broken record, but I really think people should be donating almost as much as they are receiving. It really bothers me to see members who have received thousands more then they have given. We need to all be doing our share, and in some cases, that's not the issue.

Hey Fish, I've been looking at this and at other clans. First, clan troop donations=clan troops received, a fact of a closed system. You will never see a complete balance. I did tell angel to try to be at least 1:2 next season. Clan rules currently set a minimum donation level based on your experience level. People who aren't making that over 2 seasons without reason should be kicked. If I'm attacking alot and using CC troops, (let's just assume archers), one request from me is 30 troops. I can only give 5 per request. So i have to fill 6 requests to equal one receive request. This ratio changes with CC size. Someone who has a ratio of 1:2 is still filling more requests than requests received.
Do you have an idea on how we should change our rule?

    Giving VS Getting

Hehe. Apt title for my post as you will soon see...

So there's no way i can say this without seeming to be in disagreement with Fishy & Grav but its a practical viewpoint i offer.

    Totally ignore "Troops received".

    Why?
    1. Clan Gravenites (and even Empire of Bacon) was all about giving. We support each other no matter what. It's in our culture and should be what we are known for

    2. This brings us to the next important point: if you aren't a giver, you aren't part of our family. Under performing givers are inactive/selfish enough to warrant their dismissal from our clan.

    3. We should have pragmatic rules which are devoid of any emotional persuasion. Donating and supporting clan members is the practical way forward. The only reason why we measure the give:get ratio is our child like instinct of fairness.

To wrap it up, if you give enough, you stay would be my take on things. If you take too much, it only shows how giving the rest of us are. And honestly, clan loyalty is strengthened among members who know they miss out on ALOT if they leave Clan Gravenites.

    Talking

No, I don't have a way or a rule to change anything. I wish i could come up with good way. I have no problems with someone receiving more then they give to a certain amount. When it seems sooooo lopsided is when I take issue. I want to support my clan and see EVERYONE succeed, and will donate to anyone who needs troops if I have them, but I just want to feel that everyone is doing their fair share. I know it's petty and I apologize for that. I know I said it before, but if I am the only one that this bothers, I will just keep quiet and keep doing when I am doing, donating to everyone.

Hey guys looks like its the last day i the season. And true enough our forum has really low readership. The platoon thing is not gonna kick off. I'm not gonna post base reviews and farming guides or donation campaigns on here when I know no one's reading.

Honestly in my unrealistic ideal world, a full fledged clan should have its own interactive domain, leaders should make youtube videos to guide members and everyone should speak up and contribute ideas.

It's sad to say this but the setting up of this forum has made me realise the lack of care people have for their clan. In future, I wanna start making videos and set up a facebook page where only active followers will be allowed to join my clan. For now, I think this whole restructuring/management thing is having little effect.

Btw, SAMKOHLER should be on the kick-list. Blackman knows why. Chris too I think.

Sorry Leo, but there are some things that I agree with you on and others that I disagree. I'm not to thrilled either with the amount of people reading this forum, but I think that that posting on YouTube and Facebook is not the answer. I would not like people to see me on you tube, because I am a relatively private person. And the same goes for Facebook. I am old enough to have a page but have chosen not to at this time. There are young people in the clan that may not be allowed to have a Facebook page too. I think that the members really need to come to this forum to catch up on clan news. Also, here's a little secret, half the time that fishy is on it is actually Mrs fishy. She does all the upgrades. Mr. Fishy gets the money.

Lol. Okay so which fishy posts on the forums?

Anyway, I talked about YouTube & fb cos Simon Tay does it. He gets his subscribers into his clan. But even if I'm gonna do it, it's gonna be months from now. I do have a life haha.

Clan info tells them to come to forums. Gravs inbox messages them. But not many come. We are kinda stuck.

On the bright side, we have been a very successful clan even without readership here. The clan existed b4 this forum. So we can simply continue the way we have always been. It's still an awesome clan w good donators.
