    X-Trail - crosstrail
Red Bull X-Alps - crossalps (It's an awesome athletic competition - go check it out)
    X-mas - Christmas

In abbreviations, it can represent "trans-" (e.g. XMIT for transmit, XFER for transfer), "cross-" (e.g. X-ing for crossing, XREF for cross-reference), "Christ-" as shorthand for the labarum (e.g. Xmas for Christmas, Xian for Christian), the "crys-" in crystal (XTAL), or various words starting with "ex-" (e.g. XL for extra large, XOR for exclusive-or).

And the weapon pictured in CoC is clearly a crossbow, what else?

    Kind regards

Just because x can represent a word doesn't mean it has to be pronounced as that word.

OED and MW give both pronunciations with Christmas first. I think we can close that debate here

As I said, just because x can represent a word doesn't mean it has to be pronounced as that word.

Exactly. And the debate could be closed at: 'just because x can represent a word doesn't mean it has to be pronounced as that word.'

You're not alone. It eventually clicked for me by watching Clash related YouTube videos. Happened to hear someone say it as I was logging on.
Clash Update Wish List: 1. New single player maps (or update the Goblin village loot every season) / 2. Leaders select words to censor in Clan Chat Filter for their clans. / 3. Revenge List Maintenance allowing player to delete attacks &/or make notes / 4. Chat with Rival War Clan in a War Chat (Make a 2nd tab where Global was) / 5. Ban/Block Option to keep certain users from requesting to join your clan
