I live in New England and we have a blizzard coming in as it is. That is not going to make me a fan of this idea.

Maybe you should under inflate your blizzards.

I don't like this because it sounds like too much clutter.

But in a way I like it because it makes me think of SimCity so as a tribute it could be pretty funny.

This kind of stuff is better for Hay Day, example:

-Flood, now you can grow rice/choose to drain the water with a chance to get frogs for the BBQ

-Volcano, your crops are fertilized by the volcano ash and grow really fast. Unfortunately, it also makes your animals perish from suffocation.

Avalanche, you lose the game because you were stupid enough to build a farm next to an avalanche-prone mountain.

I like the idea of the terrain changing and being more interactive. I can already imagine the villagers and builders running and screaming hysterically.
Of course it would cost resources to repair damage.
And we can build protective defenses to guard against natural disasters, which we have to reload.
And we can also have a cleanup crew.
