So who's rushing TH10 then!?

As it stands, I can't see the point of upgrading to TH10. I'm a farmer so the loot penalties will be quite heavy for TH10's, 50% on TH8's so a max of 100k from them would hurt my farming severely not to mention 1k searching costs per battle. There's no new weapons on offer. They have an upgrade for the X-Bow and Air Defence but in all honesty, they're hardly necessary. I'm guessing there will be a spell factory upgrade with a new spell, but even then I don't see the point of going up. I'm also guessing dragons will get an upgrade and perhaps pekka's... still not worth upgrading. I think i'm going to max my lvl 9 walls before even considering upgrading my TH based on what's on offer with everything weighed into consideration.

I was just discussing this in clan chat. TH10 would need significant offensive buffs to tempt me - enough offense to crack a high level TH9 base since TH8 will be off the table. So far those buffs don't seem to be coming although who knows what else is in the update. I did find Sneakydave's comments ominous that he expects farming to essentially be impossible at TH10. I only play for the farming game, and if it's not possible at TH10, upgrading would only remove the part of the game I enjoy.

He's referring to the loot penalties. We have been speaking about all the new updates in our clan and the general consensus is that an upgrade to TH10 would pretty much kill farming considering most TH9's farming diet consists of sleepy TH8 bases with a few premature TH9's.

There's no new weapons for TH10 so far, just unnecessary upgrades. Perhaps the trophy chasers will be excited with new gameplay up there, but that's about it.

Yeah, I understood. I was hoping for offensive upgrades at TH10 to make a farming diet of TH9 possible. But so far they don't seem to be forthcoming. Sigh.

Slow grind farming TH9's though with heavier troops... Once we finish lvl 9 walls though we won't have anything much else left other than lvl 10 walls so I guess that's the time to make the jump.

I'm not far from finishing level 9 walls given that there don't seem to be other TH9 upgrades to sink gold into. But maybe I'll just stay and do level 10 walls and heroes if farming isn't possible at TH10.

It's all speculation right now though, contingent on the presence or absence of offensive buffs with TH10. If there are significant offensive buffs (ie.: increase camp size, tier one troop upgrades) I'll make the plunge.
